The weather is getting colder, due to the cold and dry in some areas, the sublimation ink will also have some problems. Therefore, we need to take relevant measures for the normal use of the ink.
When the temperature decreases, the viscosity of the ink will increase, which will make the fluidity worse. The ink will be affected by the bad fluidity, and the screen may appear vertical lines, frequent ink breaks, and ink flying.
1. Impact on print head and ink
First of all, static electricity is relatively high in a dry environment, which will cause greater damage to the nozzle. It is recommended that the equipment be connected to the ground wire. Secondly, when the air is dry, the volatilization speed will increase, and the ink on the surface of the print head will dry quickly, causing the print head to be clogged. During the printing process, it will show as flying ink, frequent line breaks, and oblique jets. If you do not pay attention to the print head maintenance, it may damage the print head.
2. Impact on print media
Drying will also change the material, and material coatings or other chemical materials will change and become incompatible with the ink. For example, when the sublimation paper is dry, some problems such as edge warping and excessive ink absorption of the coating will occur. If it is not solved in time, it will cause damage to the nozzle and motor.
3. Precautions for printing equipment shutdown
(1) The sublimation printer is turned on once a day, and the inkjet test is performed. If there is a broken needle, the nozzle should be cleaned until the nozzle is normal to ensure the smoothness of the pipeline and the wetness of the nozzle.
(2) When the printer is stopped for 3-5 days, remove the print head in the shutdown state, drip a special cleaning liquid on the ink stack, clamp the waste ink tube with a long tail clamp, and then move the print head to the ink stack, and ensure that the airtightness between the print head and the ink stacks.
(3) The printer has been shut down for more than 5 days, please replace the ink cartridge with special cleaning fluid at the end of printing to ensure that the ink path and nozzle are clean.
The storage environment of the ink is also the key to the use of the ink. If the printer ink is stored in a low-temperature environment, its viscosity will increase a lot, and the fluidity will also decrease a lot. Increasing the temperature can quickly increase the fluidity of the ink, but the viscosity of the ink will not decrease rapidly. The high viscosity of the ink will damage the piezoelectric ceramics inside the nozzle and cause nozzle fatigue, such as vertical lines on the inkjet surface.
